All the driving classes in the world won’t get you ready for what it’s like actually being on the road and figuring out how to be part of the driving environment and sharing the road with others. Learning how to share the road with other users is an important part of being a safe driver. When operating a motor vehicle it’s important that you’re paying attention to everything around you including cyclists, pedestrians, and other vehicles. It can seem like a good idea to try to beat the light or squeeze in ahead of another driver, it is important to remember other drivers have a right to their safety as well. By being patient and following the rules of the road, you will help keep your fellow Alaska motorists out of harm’s way.

Some drivers struggle to keep track of everything around you while you’re behind the wheel, however, we must all keep in mind that we all must share the road.
