How To Pass the louisiana Driver's License Test

Beyond studying the Louisiana DMV practice tests available on this site, there are several other helpful strategies you can employ to pass both the Louisiana permit test and driving test on the first try.

  • Show up rested and fed. Sounds simple, right? But a tired and hungry body leads to a wandering mind which leads to wrong answers. Get some sleep and eat before the test, it’ll improve your score.

  • Dig into the Louisiana driver’s manual. This needs to be your favorite thing to read before the test. It literally has everything you need to know in it, so bury your nose in it, take notes, and get to know it like the back of your hand.
  • Develop a plan for dealing with questions you don’t know the answer to. When taking practice tests you can devise your plan here - skip and come back to them? Narrow them down and make an educated guess? Figure out what works for you and optimizes your score and stick with that plan as you take the test.
