Nebraska DMV Locations

The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is where to go if you have problems or requirements related to driver’s licenses, identification, and vehicle registration.

You can contact the DMV for lots of other reasons. This includes getting or renewing a state ID or driver’s license. The DMV also deals with several different kinds of information you can approach them if you wish to review data.

Nebraska DMV FAQ

What is a REAL ID in Nebraska state?

Nebraska is REAL ID compliant. This means that licenses and IDs issued by the DMV in Nebraska are able to be used to fly and any other requirements for federal identification. This is for security reasons, and by October 2021, all identification must be compliant. All Nebraska driver’s licenses are now issued with the REAL ID gold star.

Can I renew my Nebraska state driver’s license online?

You can renew your Nebraska state driver’s license online using the Nebraska DMV’s online services which are linked above.

What documents do I need to get a Nebraska state driver’s license?
A wide range of documents can be used as identification when getting your license. You will need a proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency (such as a U.S. valid passport or residence card), two documents to prove your address and Nebraskan residency (such as bank statements and pay stubs), and your social security number (you may require proof). For a full list of acceptable documents, go here.
