New Hampshire DMV Locations

The New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is a part of the Department of Safety (DOS). This section of the department provides many services related to driver’s licenses, identification, and vehicle registration.

As well as licensing, the DMV also deals with several different kinds of information and can be approached to review data through proper requests.

The map below will help you to find your nearest New Hampshire DMV branch. Give them a call or e-mail to make sure your individual site is open before you go! If you find something you believe needs to be corrected, please contact us and we will update the map accordingly.

If for some reason the map is not working for you or if you prefer to have a text search feature, we have also included this simple table listing of all New Hampshire DMV locations.  This table lists the exact same information in the map but in a more searchable format.

New Hampshire DMV FAQ

What is a New Hampshire REAL ID?

New Hampshire is REAL ID compliant as an option for anyone getting a state ID or driver’s license. These IDs can be used to fly and meet any other requirements for federal identification. This is for security reasons, and by October 2021, all identification must be compliant if you want to use it for the TSA or other federal agencies. It is completely optional for New Hampshire residents.

What documents do I need to get a New Hampshire driver’s license?
While there are many dependencies on the documents you may need to get a license, in general, you will need a proof of U.S. citizenship such as a U.S. passport or residence card, two documents to prove your New Hampshire residency, and proof of your social security number. Additional documents may be needed depending on the type of ID. Click here for a full list of documents needed for a REAL ID application and for a standard application.
