How to become a truck driver in Louisiana
There are a few basic requirements that you will need to fulfill before being eligible for truck driving school. Per the state of Louisiana, you must meet the following requirements before being eligible for a CDL license.
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a Class D drivers license
- Pass a vision test and medical test
You may be required to meet other specific requirements at your truck driving school of choice. For example, they may require that you can read and write using English as they may not have instructors that speak other languages. Check with them to make sure that you are eligible for their school.
