No amount of studying can prepare you for what it’s like actually being on the road and figuring out how to be part of the driving environment and sharing the road with others. Gaining the knowledge and skills to cooperatively use our streets and highways along with other motorists is required if you want to be a safe driver. When operating a motor vehicle you need to be aware of everything around you including emergency vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. It can seem like a good idea to try to beat the light or squeeze in ahead of another driver, you must keep in mind you’re not the only one on the road. When you think safety first and focus on sharing the road you can help to keep everyone out of harm’s way.
It’s not always easy to keep track of their surroundings around you while you’re behind the wheel, but it’s important to remember that we all must share the road. To help make sure everyone stays safe, we’ve put together a quiz about how motorists need to share the road. It’s important to remember, every time you get behind the wheel is an opportunity to exercise good judgment to keep others safe. Thanks for taking the time to brush up on your road-sharing knowledge!
