Wyoming DMV Locations

The Wyoming DMV, or Wyoming Department of Motor Vehicles, isn’t the actual name of the driving administration branch of the state government. Driver services are managed by WYDOT, or the Wyoming Department of Transportation. WYDOT has locations across the state of Wyoming and provides a number of useful services for drivers including:

• Manages Wyoming driving records
• Administers driving tests
• Issues licenses and identification cards
• Withdraws and reinstates driving privileges

Wyoming DMV Online Services

WYDOT’s website provides a substantial amount of information that can be useful before contacting them by phone, mail, or in person. While you cannot renew your Wyoming driver’s license online, you can find all of the instructions you need to renew or replace your license by mail or in person. You can also find all of the required documentation you’ll need for:

• Identification cards
• Organ donation
• A medical or vision screening
• Restoring your driving privileges

Wyoming Department of Transportation Services

Wyoming’s “DMV Locations” are technical called Wyoming Driver Services facilities, and they can service the following needs for Wyoming citizens:

• License renewals
• Driver’s learner permits
• New licenses and ID cards
• Driver/permit testing

Wyoming is unique in that titles, license plates and vehicle registrations are all handled by your local County Treasurer. Before visiting your County Clerk you can fill out your VIN inspection form and title application to save time. You can find your local County Clerk office here.

Prepare To Earn Your Wyoming Driver’s License

Wyoming DMV FAQ

You can renew your Wyoming driver’s license in person at a Wyoming Driver Services location or by mail. You will need your expiring/expired license along with a birth certificate or passport, proof of your social security number, and proof of residency. In some situations, you may need additional documents, such as when your name changes (marriage certificate, court order, or divorce decree), or proof of a completed driver medical or vision evaluation. You’ll also need $30 for your renewal fee. Wyoming drivers can only renew by mail every eight years.

The cost to renew your license in Wyoming is $30.

To get your Wyoming driver’s license or state identification card are identical. You will need one piece of proof of your identity (birth certificate, passport, etc.), two pieces of proof of your current residency, proof of your social security number, and proof of name change (if applicable).
