The supervising adult riding with the driver must possess a valid driver’s license. Candidates who are at least 16 years of age may be eligible for an intermediate license. Those seeking an intermediate license must have completed a driver’s education course, held a clean driving record, held an instruction permit for at least 12 months, have written consent from a parent or legal guardian and have completed 20 hours of supervised driving, including 2 hours of night driving.
